Juice fasting with Psyllium husk and green clay
Only pure organic and vegetables and fruit are used. Juices are freshly prepared three times a day for maximum nutritional value.

The juices are combined with a bulking agent (Pysllium husk) and in adherent (green clay) designed to carry away the toxins and eliminate them from the cells and liver through the digestive tract.

Pure Water
Hydration is essential as part of any cleansing protocol and only pure water which has undergone a complete six-stage filtration is available.

Colonic Hydrotherapy (Irrigation)
Colonic Hydrotherapy is a refreshing warm internal bath that deeply cleanses the colon of toxins, gas and faecal matter.

Stresses of modern living and diet contribute significantly to toxic waste build-up. In fact, the average person can contain 5-15 pounds of waste matter that when accumulated, the body can reach a state of toxicity. Poor elimination of these toxins can lead to many chronic conditions.

Colonic Hydrotherapy can help eliminate the body of these toxins so your colon will be able to function more effectively again, assisting good bacteria production and improved absorption of nutrients.

Following a succession of treatments you can expect healthier hair and skin, a clearer complexion, a stronger immune system, boosted metabolism and enhanced energy levels.

Dead Sea mud wraps and sauna
Minerals from the Dead Sea, especially magnesium, are useful in stimulating the detoxification process through the skin. Dead Sea mud is applied following a steam sauna to maximise the mineral absorption and relaxation.

Aromatherapy Massage
Massage is the most effective way to induce a deep sense of relaxation – the most conductive state for healing and detoxification. Aromatherapy massage uses strokes designed to improve lymphatic circulation and is applied with a personalised blend of pure, organic essential oils.

Castor Oil Packs
Castor Oil packs assist detoxification, through the absorption of castor oil through the skin into the lymphatic system. It helps soften hardened mucus in the bowel and balances the parasympathetic nervous system.

Liver Flush
A cleansing programme is the ideal time to do a liver flush. It cleans out bile and gall stones from the liver and gall bladder. Free flowing bile is important as it is the only way the body detoxifies cholesterol and most of the by-products of drugs and chemical toxicity.

Ear candling
Ear Candling is a wonderfully relaxing and beneficial treatment. It can help with many conditions and problems associated with the ear, nose and throat area. The ear candles induce a revitalising heat upon the head and ears, which soothes, relieves and relaxes.

Additional Nutrition
Individual prescribed vitamins and minerals can be added to support the detoxification process to support the liver while it is undergoing the demanding phase of cleansing and regeneration.

Detoxing can improve your health, well-being and give you increased energy and stable weight. Find out why it's so important.

Where do toxins come from?
Most of the common toxins that we absorb are from external sources, such as food additives, preservatives and drugs. We also absorb industrial chemicals, combustion pollution and pesticides.
Toxins are also produced with the body, like intestinal bacteria and stress.

How should the body cleanse?
There are two kinds of toxins: fat soluble and water soluble.
Water soluble toxins are excreted directly through your kidneys, urine and also through the skin in the form of perspiration.

Fat soluble toxins form the majority of the body’s toxic overload and its complex molecules cannot be broken down easily and passed through as urine. To remove these complex molecules, the body converts them into compounds which can be eliminated through the colon.

Symptoms of toxic overload and inefficient cleansing:
Premature ageing, allergic reactions, brain fog, headaches and migraine, coated tongue, bad breath, bloating, flatulence, constipation, mood swings, depression, sugar cravings, hormonal imbalances (PMT), weight gain, acne, eczema, impaired immune system.

Elements of a Successful Detox:

Removal of foods and drinks which are likely to contain toxins and food allergens. Joanne Willcox Clinics use controlled fasting with pure organic vegetable juices.

Optimal hydration with pure water. Joanne Willcox Clinics include regular colonic irrigations using pure filtered water and plenty of drinking fluids (vegetable juices, herbal teas, filtered water, etc).

Optimal nutritional support to assist in the process of bio-transformation of toxins without causing damage and free-radical overload. Joanne Willcox Clinics offer a range of optional nutritional support as well as highly nutritious, freshly prepared organic juices to accommodate the specific needs of the individual.

Time away from the usual stresses and distractions to re-focus the mind and encourage healing. Joanne Willcox Clinics provide quiet, comfortable accommodation in a countryside setting to nourish the mind and the soul.
