I felt immediately relaxed by the surroundings of Crabwall Manor Hotel in Mollington and the friendliness of the staff. Joanne chatted to me and made me feel relaxed about the whole process. I think most people would be a little nervous at this stage, as in reality I hadn’t committed to a traditional relaxing spa treatment, this was getting hard core.
Joanne’s friendly demeanour and her natural ability to make you feel relaxed is part of her skill. Discussing the contents of your insides as they pass through a tube may not be everyone’s idea of fun but it seems that the toxic build up of ‘stuff’ was flowing beautifully and was well overdue to be discreetly deposited to somewhere only Jo knows!
I felt amazing, albeit a ‘little’ (understatement) empty. I immediately saw a difference with the disappearance of my food belly. By treatment number three my waist came back into view.
With a wedding on the horizon and in consultation with Joanne I embarked on a course of Jan Marini glycolic facial peels. At the time of writing I’m nearing the end of a treatment experience that was very different to what I’ve been used to. I’m a huge fan of aromatherapy and there’s no reason why you can’t go back to these when you’ve finished your course. But glycolic is really where it’s at in the beauty industry at the moment together with the combination of retinol to lift, enhance and illuminate fresh, new skin.
I can’t recommend Joanne Willcox highly enough as a facial and colonic therapist and I guess if you are already reading this you are in need of re-booting your lifestyle and already exploring the possibility of taking the plunge.  It’s a personal choice but one that has served me well for my future well-being, happiness and state of mind.

August 2017

Joanne Willcox came highly recommended to me by a close friend who knew she would be able to help me restore calm and order into my busy life. Burnt out and sleep deprived in January 2017, with young children and a myriad of commitments that would frighten the most driven and motivated person, I found myself taking a long hard look at how my life was unfolding. Too much party time and not enough relaxation was beginning to take its toll.
January and February are never good months for me on a number of levels including the darkness and chill factor associated with the demise of Christmas and the long haul towards spring. My new years resolutions were the ‘same old, same old’ predictable, short-lived and predictably doomed to failure.
Whilst I’ve tried many beauty treatments, regimes and gimmicks in the past I wanted something different as I headed towards the latter part of my fourth decade. It was no longer the desire to be skinny and a size 8 – twins at 43 put paid to that silly nonsense. I wanted radiance and rejuvenation.
So with a family holiday to Tenerife already booked I rang the lady herself. It’s been said that celebrities and sports stars, burnt out roadies and the wealthy Cheshire set scramble to get on Willcox’s treatment tables. When she rang me back we chatted briefly about what I wanted and immediately I knew it was the one treatment that was on my bucket list – a Colonic. Not known for doing anything by half measures I booked a course of three treatments.
I was raring to go after the usual over-indulgences of a holiday, coupled with the unexpected decision that my fiancé and I would be getting wed in 11 months time. It was time to crank up my health regime and find my pizzazz again.
I felt immediately relaxed by the surroundings of Crabwell Manor Hotel in Mollington and the friendliness of the staff. Joanne chatted to me and made me feel relaxed about the whole process. I think most people would be a little nervous at this stage, as in reality I hadn’t committed to a traditional relaxing spa treatment, this was getting hard core.

With all this personal investment there was one thing that eluded me on my journey to a healthier well-being and that was the tantalising appeal of a residential three day Ultra Detox.  Anyone considering a detox should take a look at this retreat usually held from Sunday to Wednesday in Crabwell Manor. Joanne hosts the retreat and is on hand to encourage you every step of the way. The timetable of treatments breaks up the days and whilst you can tailor some of the treatments I was going for the full hit – colonics, cupping, hopi ear candles, massage and facials. This together with early morning and late evening swims in one of the best spa pools I’ve ever swam in (it’s gloriously warm) grounds you back in the here and now.
It may seem extreme or self-indulgent to some to leave behind your family to reconnect with your inner being but the experience was worth it for me, as I wanted to take stock and re-focus.
The evening delivery of one bowl of clear broth felt like a decadent, seven-course banquet, after a day of juices and nut milk. It’s Joanne’s sense of humour that kept me going but this is balanced against her desire to ensure you get the maximum benefit from your time with her. For some it’s a one off, once-in-a-lifetime experience, for others they return regularly to boost and heal their tired bodies from the ravages of modern living.
I lost several pounds during my Detox. My sleep pattern was given a boost and my skin was clearer and brighter, my hair seemed more luscious and I was reluctant to leave the cocoon of my hotel room and re-enter our frenetic world.

I was so nervous before my first visit but as soon as I met Joanne in the lovely reception area I felt at complete ease and knew it wouldn't be the ordeal I had made it out to be in my head. I started my first of 4 colonic hydrotherapy sessions in January 17 and eight weeks later, had lost 17lbs. I followed Joanne's diet and health advice and was also exercising. I feel so much healthier and this whole experience has completely changed the way I look at food and how I cook. Thanks Joanne you are the best your Welsh friend Gem xx

Booked in for a course of glycolic peels and Joanne got me interested in the science behind skin cell renewal and looking after yourself on the inside to look well on the outside. I ended up ordering some juices too and so many people commented on how healthy and well I looked. No downtime from the peels, I used to go on my lunchtime and go straight back to work.
February 2017

I had an offer for a glycolic peel and was so thrilled with the results on the back of my hands, neck and décolletage. My hands were weathered and looked a lot older than a 32 year old. I then booked in for a course of 12 as could tell that this would be worthwhile as I spent a fortune on creams, masks and facials. I used the Jan Marini five step system and after one use, could feel the difference on my skin. After two weeks of day and night usage, I then could have the glycolic peel on my face. I’m halfway through my course and thrilled with the results. My open pores have been visibly reduced and skin seems brighter and tighter. I highly recommend Joanne as she is so knowledgeable in skincare and general health and wellbeing so every visit is a pleasure. Thank you Joanne!

I had a series of treatments in the Joanne Willcox Clinic within the Spa. Whilst I wasn't expecting these to be pleasant, the experience was made bearable by Joanne's professionalism! Following her excellent advice I have made alterations to my diet and feel so much better for doing so.

Best thing I have ever done and well worth the money... I was feeling so down and depressed about how bloated I was and I was always eating rubbish, I wanted a boost to make me feel healthier and less bloated, so decided to just go for it and have a colonic irrigation, I had been recommended Joanne so decided to go there.
I bought the buy two get one free and I also bought the juices she recommended.
My skin is so much, I don't feel bloated, and all I have eaten since is fresh food. I make my own juices and have lost 7 pounds in a week.
It's the best money I have spent, the way I look at food now is completely different.
I also asked my boyfriend to get it done, and he agreed as he was feeling bloated, and he looks and feels so much better.

If you’re thinking of having it done just go for it, best thing I've done and highly recommend Joanne Willcox :)

Joanne has been a true inspiration to me. She was able to guide me through a better diet, leading onto a healthy lifestyle. I have never felt such a warm and welcoming experience from the minute I arrived. Jo’s great personality is what made my experience even better. I have now booked in my husband in for some colonics who is awkward about things like that but he was made to feel comfortable and feel better from it. Also my colleague has booked in for treatment as well. Thank you Jo. We will be staying in touch.
September 2016

Following some health concerns, I recently visited Joanne Willcox at Crabwall Manor Spa for a colonic hydrotherapy. I was nervous before my appointment but immediately after meeting Joanne she put me at complete ease. I was asked to complete a thorough questionnaire which Joanne then discussed with me at length to establish exactly what I wanted to achieve from my treatment. She also explained in full how the treatment worked and provided me with additional dietary and nutritional advice to support the treatment. My first appointment lasted 90 minutes (30 minutes talking and 60 minutes treatment time). Joanne has a way of relaxing clients throughout the treatment and makes the whole process comfortable and removes any initial embarrassment immediately. After my first treatment I lost 3.5lb and I felt great; my stomach was flatter, I had no bloating and felt lighter and more energetic. I booked a follow up course of 3 further treatments and I also purchased some recommended clay to help me. I have now had three treatments and I have lost 7.5lb in total and I have much more energy and I am finding that I am sleeping better. I would definitely recommend a visit to Joanne... She is a lovely lady, very professional and really does care about the health of her clients.

I have wanted to try this treatment for a number of years and finally plucked up the courage after a lot of research. Joanne Willcox is one of the best in the country and can clearly see why I would highly recommend. Joanne had been practising for over 20 years. Joanne made me feel at ease and explained all that was going to happen. Afterwards she gave me after care advice which I will be following to the letter!!! As I know the benefits this will provide for me and my health. Thank you so much Joanne for all your help and advice.
April 2016

I have just finished a three week course of colonic hydrotherapy and colon cleanse with the wonderful Joanne Willcox. She is such a warm and friendly person and makes you feel so at ease. I have had many years of problems with my digestive system and bowels. The main thing that Joanne has advised me to do is a complete change in my eating habits and lifestyle. Along with the colonic hydrotherapy (which is not at all unpleasant because of Joanne's lovely manner) it has changed my life. My stomach is so much better, my skin is glowing (eczema has almost gone!!) and I feel less tired and lethargic. I will keep up the healthy lifestyle and I am already saving up for my next course. If anyone is having the same problems as myself I really advise you have a consultation with Joanne. Also used the spa facilities while I was there and really enjoyed it.
